The Preparation Work Should Be Done to Install The Fixed Ultrasonic Flowmeter

At the request of the customer, we drove to Jiangsu Chunjiang field Agricultural Chemical Co., Ltd. site trial fixed ultrasonic flowmeter to measure the flow of chilled water return pipeline, but because the prior communication with the field technology is not very sufficient, so the trial is still a little regret.

After coming to the scene, it was found that the pipe was DN200 carbon steel pipe, and there was paint outside, but due to the temporary change of car, taking tools and fixed ultrasonic flow timing, missing the polishing machine, fortunately, there are several pieces of sandpaper in the toolkit, after grinding, we connected the sensor, ready to switch on the power input parameters. However, the 24V power supply mentioned in the field technology in advance is to be externally connected from the vortex flowmeter on the next pipeline, but the meter is not fed enough voltage, so it must be externally connected with 24V power supply. There is no way, but to inform the electrician to come to the scene to connect the external power supply.

After the power is turned on, input parameters to get the sensor installation distance, after simple adjustment, quickly get 98 Q value and 100.2% transmission ratio, accurate measurement. Customer site technology Liu Gong is full of praise for such installation efficiency and measurement results.

 

He proposed that the target flowmeter on the next pipeline often fails, and I hope that we can also use our fixed ultrasonic flowmeter to measure, because the medium inside is liquefied isobutylene, which is toxic, and flammable and explosive, so try not to break the pipe installation, then our products using external clamp installation is a more ideal choice.

When disassembling the insulation material outside the pipe for trial, the signal and data comparison were quickly found and were very accurate.

  

This ultrasonic flowmeter field service my experience has the following points:

1. Fully understand customer needs and site conditions. The information provided by customer units is often not accurate enough, so direct contact should be made with technical staff at the customer site, including measuring media, pipe calibers and materials, on-site power supplies, ladders, etc.

2. With all the tools, including sandpaper, polishing machine, power converter, long power cord, different specifications of clamp, silicone rubber.
